Back Up And Knitting

Finally after much holidaying and sorting I am back up and knitting.
The shop, sadly, is no more but I am spending my time preparing for my new knitting classes for the New Year.
These will take place on Saturday 9th January in room 5 at The Larruperz Centre and are bookable online with myself via email or by phone. For the less Paypal savvy you can pay on the door but numbers will be limited so I would ring to book first.

I am still knitting commissions and Mary will be pleased to know that I am on the last front from tonight. Busy restocking the website and also getting ready for the Christmas Craft Fair at Cheltenham Ladies College on November 22nd - so all good woolly fun.

Will upload a few pics soon of a small section of my craft items which will also be available online for a more unusual Chrisse pressie. Particularly good for those lucky few who have got everything! So what with all of that and the usual round of WI talks and the one off lesson in crochet, knitting and spinning I am kept pretty busy in the Land of Wool.

Keep checking the website as my next project is uploading tutorials online as well as putting all the yarn I have left in a special yarn sale section - which for those who visited us before we finished will know - will be a good place to spot a real bargain.

Casting Off

Finally the sad day has arrived and we are now officially shut!

Any further knitting questions or course bookings just use the email bron@thewoolgarden.co.uk
I am off sailing and taking the knitting of course! Knitting on a boat while hubby pokes about with the sails - ah there's nothing like it.

I need to thank all my loyal knitters and those who popped in for chats, advice and all things knitty for making the last four years such fun.

Now I can concentrate my efforts on the teaching side - which will all be bookable online from October.

Advice and alternative suggestions and wool orders still available online and do look out for our clearance items as they will be up there over the next few weeks - all still at vastly reduced prices
.
Cant wait to get spinning and dyeing my own wool - as well as attending all those fabulous knitting shows. I am manning a stall at the Cheltenham Ladies College Christmas Fayre if you are missing our cushions and gifts and passing that way at the end of November.

Meanwhile - don't forget to keep it local and support all the lovely friendly and amazingly well stocked shops of Newent. You know you can get everything there (except for posh wool!) Malvern   and Abergavenny are your nearest alternatives.

Keep your eyes peeled for further info and updates as I will have much more time to update the website and the blog from now on. Woo hoo.

Thanks all and see you in town.

Cheers
Bron

2015 PROJECTS THAT IS!!!!

New Year New Classes New Wool New Me

New Year's resolutions:

                                       Finish All UFOs
Weave in Ends As I Go Along
Update The Website All The Time
                                 Write A Blog A Week
                           Learn to Enjoy Needle Felting!

As usual I have a whole list of UFOs and to make you all feel better I have 16 projects on the go right now! As the lucky inheritor of another great knitting machine I have started a whole pile more as well. Manual Lace knitting on the machine is the great distractor at the moment but hey - I do have an excuse. All part of my grand plan for the revamp of The Wool Garden (more news of which in March!)

Starting in February there will also be morning knitting surgeries held in the shop. £5 per 2 hour session which will include my expertise as well as (and probably more importantly - tea coffee and biscuits)

I am currently developing a series of machine knitting courses -  so get restoring those old dusty machines some of you are lucky enough to have in your lofts - and embark on something new and YES -  HAND KNITTERS! brilliantly creative for the New Year. I honestly couldn't believe it when I had churned out 3 jumpers - all looking hand knitted and all completed in the two weeks before Christmas.

My other great January promises are
1. I will clear up my 3 workrooms (I have rather spread myself about!)
2. I will sort my stash!
3. I will tidy my knitting bag (actually that is 4 knitting bags)

And with that rather exhausting list I will leave you all (and myself) wondering just how that is all going to be accomplished without taking on a permanent wool slave!

I am just too embarrassed to show you all the third one!
